Firefly Classic Elite Yarns for sale at Raging Wool Shop free shipping

Firefly is sport weight rayon and linen blend knitting and crochet yarn. It's a warm-weather yarn with a subtle sheen and wonderful hand. The juxtaposition of the linen with a light-catching sheen gives it a distinctly feminine look. Firefly drapes wonderfully at a wide range of gauges - knit loosely for elegant lace or more tightly for stockinette fabrics. This yarn can grow, so we highly recommend a gague swatch, and a good soak once finished.

Patterns we love with Firefly include:

  • The Firefly Scarf by Kristen TenDyke. We love the lacey pattern and the fact that it can be worn year-round as an accessory.
  • This Firefly Dayflower Shawl from Amy Loberg is gorgeous - and with all the fun colors available for Firefly, this yarn is a perfect fit.

Sily Alpaca Lace Classic Elite Yarns for sale at Raging Wool Shop Free Shipping

Silky Alpaca Lace is a lace weight alpaca and silk blend knitting and crochet yarn spun into a wonderful mix that knits into amazing lightweight pieces. The alpaca in this yarn provides warmth and a soft halo; the silk adds a subtle sheen to the stitches. Worked in lace with larger needles or hooks, Silky Alpaca Lace makes lovely, light-as-air shawls, garments and accessories.

We thought these were good match-ups with Silky Alpaca Lace:

  • We couldn't resist putting in a lacy shawl - we just loved this Swallowtail Shawl by Evelyn A. Clark.
  • And we didn't want to leave out our crochet lovers out there, take a look at this Summer Springs Lace Scarf by Esther Chandler.

We have more yarn being added to the shop each week, so be sure to check back to see what's new. And as always, we'd love to see you on our Facebook wall, or in our Ravelry Group!
