So, tell me about the Owner!

Alice visiting the Alpaca Center in the Lakes District, UK

Raging, with Wool.

The shop was founded in 2010 by Alice Clary.  She's a yarn addict. She loves yarn - the way it feels, the way it looks and the incredible variety of ways it can be used. She really can't keep her hands away from it. She loves to knit and she loves to crochet. Lately, Alice has begun to master weaving with her loom.

When Alice is home, in restaurants, on a plane, on a ship, or a passenger in a car, you will find her with some sort of yarn in her hands. In fact, it's hard to ever find a moment in time that Alice doesn't have knitting needles or crochet hooks in her hands.

Alice is an official yarn addict, and proud of it. If you have read this far, chances are you can really, really relate to this phenomenon and you may be a yarn (er, fabric artist) addict yourself!

You will often see Alice, working closely with her customers. They come in, all the time, asking her for advice and presenting her with questions about their projects. You'll find that she absolutely loves to help them figure out solutions to their specific project needs and she always makes time to help.

If you have 'a thing' for yarn, well, then, you will feel at quite home at the Raging Wool Yarn Shop! If you are just beginning, then you'll find a safe haven and supportive environment to help you learn, enjoy, grow and succeed.

Alice has been a longtime member of Ravelry. You can find her patterns and list of yarns there as well.
