Freedom first! Since we are open seven (7) days a week, our customers enjoy the freedom to knit, crochet, and weave with us on any day of their choosing. You are welcome to join us from open to closing every day of the week as we always have experts on staff to help you.

And it's Free! This summer, we are offering a "Buy One and Get One Free" sale on all of our classes. Take a class and bring a friend for free, or take two classes for the price of one!  Practice, for free, with our knit alongs and crochet alongs. Did you know that we have free knit, crochet & weave alongs every day of the week? Join us at the crafting tables for fellowship and support from us and from fellow friendly customers, regardless of your project, skill level and experience.

New! A new Knitting Class, Crochet Class and Hand-Dyeing Class for July!

Shibori Indigo Silk Scarf Dyeing: You will be using natural Dyestuff to make a beautiful silk scarf, you may remember this from the 60's & 70's as Tie-Dye! (July 18th 6:00 to 8:00pm)

Star Shaped Pillow: Make this fun knitted pillow starting in the middle, working out in the round. No sewing involved! (July 20th 11:00am to 5:00PM)

Oma's Square Crochet Pillow: Make this fun crochet granny pillow! (July 21st 12:00pm to 2:00PM)

Summer Classes Beginning in July

Knitting Classes

(from First Timer, to Intermediate, to Advanced)

  • Beginning Knitting: Learn to cast/on, knit, purl, pick up dropped stitches, bind/off, knit in the round, decrease, easy pattern reading, Every Saturday: 3-5PM July 2, 9, 16: 3-5PM (starts every 1st Tuesday)
  • Free Knit along with Elke: Come in on Sundays from Noon to 5PM for help getting started on new projects or assistance on current projects.
  • Free Knit along with Giovanna: Come in on Mondays from 11AM to 5PM for help getting started on new projects or assistance on current projects.
  • Free Building Blocks Afghan: Learn to read simple charts, cable, twisted stitches, easy lace work and more as you complete 12 different squares to be sewn into an afghan. July 23: 12-2PM
  • Mosaic Knitting: Make a pretty yarn or cup cozy with this awesome technique. Many have thought it was Fair Isle! All you do is slip stitches in the right place! July 28: 12-2PM July 11: 6-8PM
  • Raglan Sweater: Knitting sweaters have you scared? Not to worry, this easy sweater is quick and easy in worsted yarn.You will make Raglan Shaped Sleeves working from the top of the sweater to the bottom. This is made in one piece without any sewing. This first lesson will get you started then you’ll come back in for additional assistance as needed for dividing the sleeves, knitting sleeves, button band and collar. July 5: 3-5PM July 25: 6-8
  • Finishing Sweaters, Tops, Afghans: Sweater or afghan all knitted or crocheted? How do I put it together? Sign up for a class to finish your projects that are ready for sewing together and making borders, collars, button bands and button holes. If you had a class that put together little bits and can't recall or are not able to apply it to an actual sweater, this class is made for you! This class helps you overcome the challenge of bringing all the pieces together gracefully and seamlessly. Pre-class preparation is a project ready for finishing. July 12: 3-5PM
  • Fixing Little Boo-Boos: This is for Little BooBoo's that require picking up stitches, tinking, picking up in rows below & using fix a stitch, double ended crochet hooks or smaller knitting needles. July 11: 3-5PM
  • Knitting Socks: choose to learn from your first socks or slippers, Lace Socks, two at a time (Magic Loop). You can also join to learn cabled, lace, mosaic, mitred, whatever you always wanted to try but were hesitant! This is a three lesson class. July 6, 13, 20: 11:30AM to 1PM (starts every 1st Saturday) I know many don't have time to work as fast as others, but no problems. All three of us can help you with your socks as needed.
  • Entrelac Knitting: create a beautiful diamond textured fabric. This class introduces you to this technique with an easy to understand scarf. I will also be covering knitting backwards, not to be confused with tinking! You will actually avoid purling! Lots of fun and a great finished product! July 23: 3-5PM
  • Ravigate: Learn to navigate Ravelry, find the patterns for your yarn or yarns for your patterns, yarn substitution, narrow down your search to find exactly what you want! Need your tablet, iPad, smart phone or lap top. July 17: 1-3PM July 18: 6-8PM
  • Read Knit Charts:This class helps you learn, and then master the ability to “read” knitting charts. Once you know the tricks, it's much easier to work your project. July 19: 1-3PM
Crochet Classes

  • Beginning Crochet: Learn all the basic crochet stitches and crochet a square without any increases, decreases, or wobbles. You will add a decorative scalloped border. Then make an adorable hat, doily or snowflake in the round. July 2, 9, 16: 1-3PM July 6, 13, 20: 1-3PM

Weaving Classes
  • Learn to Weave on a rigid heddle loom. Not only for beginner, enhance your weaving with Herringbone, Color Blending, Felted Ruffle, or Mohair. Color Blending
  • July 27: 11AM-6PM
  • Clasped Weft: use this technique to make a freeform, mountain ranges, keyboards, whatever your heart desires. You need to have basic rigid heddle skills.
